Position Summary:
Understand and be committed to the principles of IPM – Integrated Pest Management “A sustainable approach to managing pests by combining biological, cultural, physical and chemical tools in a way that minimizes economic, health and environmental risks.”
Develop and maintain customers and revenue while providing courteous and prompt general pest sales and service to a variety of customers and locations.

Compensation:
Hourly wages – our successful franchisees pay an hourly rate in the  $ 18 to $ 20 range.

Essential Functions:
  • Inspects customers’ premises to identify pest problems and determine the kind of treatment required to eliminate a particular type of pest.
  • Advises customers on the kind of treatment required to eliminate identified pests.
  • Apply all chemicals safely and effectively in accordance with label and state and federal regulations.
  • Understand and be committed to the principles of IPM – Integrated Pest Management “A sustainable approach to managing pests by combining biological, cultural, physical and chemical tools in a way that minimizes economic, health and environmental risks.”
  • Takes an active role in the Territory’s Sales Plan by meeting personal sales goals:
     
    • Makes follow-up visits to potential customers contacted via various lead avenues provided.
  •  
    • Sells existing customers renewals and up-sells.
  •  
    • Requests referral opportunities from existing customers.
  •  
    • Identifies and solicits new sales opportunities.
  •  
    • Sales of service through relationships developed through residential and commercial clients both within and outside of designated routes.
  •  
  • Actively works with the Service/Operations Manager to ensure service routes and customer appointments are scheduled and met in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Collects and processes customers’ payments.  
  • Inspect, maintain, and record company vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow all safety regulations at all times and follow all personal protective equipment (PPE) standards for items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, a hard hat, or a full Tyvek suit. 
  • Report any safety concerns or injuries to your direct supervisor/leader. 
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Complete any/all other assignments the Service/Operations Manager may assign.
 
Results and Expectations:
  • With the assistance of the Service/ Operations Manager, develop and ensure consistency of existing sales/clients, while growing route revenues.
  • Plan and organize a daily work schedule to ensure efficient use of time and resources. Establish proper priorities, maintain follow-up, and meet deadlines. Responsive to changing requirements. 
  •  Assist in maintaining controls on all equipment by inspecting collateral, maintenance records, and supplies. 
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations. 
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  •  Contribute to team effort by assisting where necessary and ensuring special assignments are completed as assigned and within their established deadlines. 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Must be familiar with pest control service business. 
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Attain and maintain appropriate licenses and certificates to maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. 
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests (check with your local employment attorney to ensure you are in compliance). 
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 100lbs. 
  • Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
